Grandma Smith Funeral

Chaces Grandma Smith was such a sweet , kind women. Memories I have of her are ....

* She made the best potato salad ever!!

* She was a frequent shopper at Broadbents , Everything in her house pretty much was from there.

* In her last days of driving she would drive down to Rob & Opals rather it was for Sunday dinner or just to visit she would park so close to other cars that she would even bump into them!!! needless to say we were always afraid for our cars.

* When she lived at home she would have Christmas Eve dinner in her basement with who ever could make it .

* She has a amazing Christmas village that she set up in her front room along one wall on card tables. She had 2 0r 3 deer she would put somewhere in the village for the grand kids to find ( Chace always enjoyed that even as he got older :)

She especially loved being around her 4 children, grand kids & great grand kids.

She loved when Rob would come get her every Saturday afternoon to go grab a burger and go for a drive:)

She had so many beautiful flowers .

We will miss grandma Smith very much and her soft spoken Spirit will live in our hearts forever:)

Grandpa Rob's Birthday

The month of June has been a hard month for all of us Petersons . Celebrating Fathers Day , Lehi days and most of all Rob's Birthday has been pretty tough without him . The hole first year of not Having My father in law around has been really hard.

On Rob's birthday we all got together at a park in Lehi and had Costco pizza , ice cream and garden cupcakes that Chaces sister Calee made in honer of grandpa Rob's love for gardening:) (She's so crafty I don't know were she gets all her free time :)

After the park we went up to Grandpa's grave were we sang Happy Birthday and let birthday balloons off . The colors of the balloons were Blue and Purple (Rob & Opals wedding colors)

This has been a great tradition that we have done every Holiday this first year . I hope we keep it up because the kids have so much fun doing it .

Salina 2011

It had been over 2 years sense Chace, Ryker and I had been to Salina with my parents. We were glad we went it was the Worthen family Reunion so we got to see people we hadn't seen in a long time.

Hanging at Rays cabin in the hammock... Jenacee loved it she laid there so still and calm , looks like we need to get a hammock !!!


It's tradition to go on a ride to Jacks. It's a place were a man named Jack who was sheep herding and he and his horse were struck by lighting and both killed. His family made this place a monument were people could come visit and read the story about Jack and his horse Star. In a tree nearby you can sign your name in a book that is left there in a tin by Jacks family, when the book is full Jacks family replace it with a new one. It's kinda fun it's our way of saying we visited by signing our names and the date. We told Ryker the story and like always he asked a million questions a lot of them started out with the work "Why" we explained as best we could and let him sign his own name in the book . Then off we went back to camp to make some lunch .

My dad's best friend John his brother Ray was nice and let Chace and I take his Razor on the ride so Jenacee would be all in closed it was so nice I just held her on my lap and she fell right to sleep with how noisie and bumpie it was .


Ryker had such a fun first time golfing . Now he's asking for some golf clubs !!!!!

I LOVE, LOVE how these pictures turned out . Ryker & Jenacee were both so good for the photographer . Ryker is 5 1/2 and Jenacee is 8 months in these pictures . I love these two so very much and don't know what I would do without them in my life, I feel so very blessed to have them .

{Jenacee 8 months}

My how time flys by my little baby girl is already 8 months old !!!!! She's getting so fun and doing some really cute things like .... claps her hands when we sing patty cake , waves bye bye . She is starting to get on her hands and knees and just rocks back and forth ,it's going to be any day now that she's going to take off crawling:( then I'll be in for it !!

I love to see her face light up in excitement when big brother Ryker comes into the room it melts my heart that they love each other so much...

Jenacee has been teething for months now but still no teeth , the longer they stay in the better right?

We love this little lady so much and glad she is in our family :)

Memorial Weekend 2011

We went camping out west of our house past Cedar Fort with Uncle Scott , Susan , Kaycee , Cal , Haylie, Opal , Our good friends Tom and Sarah and there little girl Sierra . On Saturday Dusty & Jamie and there kids all came out to hang around with us crappy weather and all .. Despite the rain we still had a lot of fun.

Opal had fun taking Ryker and Sierra for a 4-wheeler ride.


Taylor , Brylee and Haylie all had fun playing with Jenacee in the trailer . Thanks to Brylee who got Jenacee to sleep sense she was so fussy , to later Sarah and I took her to instacare because she wouldn't stop crying and acted like she was in a lot of pain I thought maybe she had a ear infection but it turned out they couldn't find anything wrong with her , so who knows ...

After we got home on Monday we went to my brother Bronsons grave with my parents
It's crazy he been gone almost 8 years this August . I still think of him often and miss him dearly . While we were there a guy all decked out with bag pipes was walking around playing music it was kinda cool , Ryker kept saying "Whys that guy waring a skirt mom ?"

This is my sweet grandpa Sams grave , I can't believe it will be a year next month that he has been gone I love and miss him so much ..

Later that day we had a BBQ at Opals with all of Chaces brothers and sisters and there kids. Then we headed up to Rob's grave . I can't believe a year has almost gone by next month sense my sweet Father in law Rob has been gone .. We miss him so much
